I want to cut my hair short.  Actually, it’s pretty short already.  But it takes too much work – especially to get the back to lay right.  With fibromyalgia, my arms really complain if I try to work for any time at all on styling my hair.
So I thought I might get it cut a [...]

Yesterday I woke up and wondered who had driven the big rig hauling double over my side of the bed while I’d been sleeping.  Only meds and more sleep helped me have a tolerable day.
Today I woke up and wondered who I was and what had been done with my old body.  I felt better [...]

Over the years, I have noticed that Good Friday weather here in central Massachusetts has a tendency to follow the mood of the day.  Somber, sad and often downright depressing.  Even a day that has started out with sun will turn by mid-day.  It would become overcast, even if there is no precipitation.
This year was different.  [...]

So much has happened since my last post, I almost don’t know where to start.  So I guess I go chronologically.
Sunday was our long drive home from Hershey, PA.  In spite of taking numerous breaks to stretch, I spent most of the day with my eyes closed, trying to convince the headache that was trying [...]

We left Pittsburgh this morning with the sun shining for the first morning since we left home on Saturday.  Figures.  Before I leave the topic of Pittsburgh, though, I do want to remark on the buildings in this city.  While there are certainly a number of bright, shiny new glass & steel models, they have [...]

Finally, the goal of our trip has arrived.  We attended a hockey game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres.  These are the same two teams that played on outdoor game in the snow in Buffalo.  Gratefully, this game was in Mellon Arena, not the sub-arctic.
We left the hotel early, 5:45 for a 7:30 [...]

I slept a bit late this morning.  I think all the driving for the past 4 days is finally causing my fibromyalgia to catch up to me.  I thought maybe the extra rest this morning would help, but it really hasn’t.  I have the overall fatigue that no amount of sleep seems to alleviate.  So [...]
